The feel good fuel is propane. Millions of homes use propane to power generators, cook and heat their home. The National Propane Gas Association calls propane a green solution “for the environmentally conscious consumer.” Here are some facts about how propane is clean and environmentally friendly.

Clean Burning

Propane is clean burning, and unlike other fuels, it is not considered a greenhouse gas. Propane is actually on the list of approved clean fuel by the U.S. government. It emits far fewer damaging emissions than any other readily available carbon-based engine fuel.

Non Toxic

Propane is non-toxic and will not create an environmental hazard if released as a liquid or vapor into water or soil. It is not damaging to fresh or salt-water ecosystems. Propane is not air pollution because the vapor will not negatively affect the air. It is also not toxic if accidentally inhaled by animals or people.

Tevis Propane commits to maintaining the highest levels of safety for the well-being of our employees, customers and communities. By utilizing a fuel that is safe for the environment, we know that we are serving our customers to the best of our ability.
