Groundhog’s Day – Bad News and Good News

First, the BAD news…. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow.  In a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain this morning, one wouldn’t expect any shadow at all, but apparently he saw something.  Now we’re in for another 6 weeks of winter… maybe.

Now, the GOOD news…. Propane prices continue to hold steady!  So even if winter keeps a firm grip on Maryland for several more weeks, heating your home with propane will cost a lot less than last year, when winter temperatures stayed cold and heating costs were high.

MORE GOOD NEWS…  If you participate in our Custom Monthly Payment plan (sometimes referred to as budget billing), it may be possible to lower your monthly payment!  Just give us a call at 410-876-6800, and we will take a look at your account to see if lowering your monthly payment is a good option for you.  Credit balances do earn 1% interest, so it may make sense to keep that money in your account to offset next seasons heating costs!

Keep conserving!  Even with lower propane prices, we still encourage customers to practice good conservation habits.  Room heating is also a great way to conserve, and Tevis Home has so many ways to help you do just that, including gas logs, fireplaces, and more

If you do feel the urge to crank up the thermostat on any of these cold Maryland days we’ve been having, you can do it, knowing it won’t break the bank!  Just don’t forget to turn it back down if you don’t have a programmable thermostat.

Thank you for allowing Tevis to serve your propane needs!
